GHSPSA Mentoring Programme
What is the programme about?
GHSPSA Mentoring Programme is a year-long programme that supports fellow Hopers to maximise their potential and achieve their professional and personal goals. GHSPSA pairs our young alumnae with senior alumnae from different sectors and vocations, connecting experiences and knowledge for the benefit of the GHS family.
Participants will benefit from:

(For mentors) A half-day mentorship training delivered by professional facilitators to equip you with skills, relevant expectations, and the right mindset

Year-long one-to-one mentoring

A series of career sessions delivered by HR professional and career advisor

Frequently asked questions
How is this mentoring programme different from the existing student mentorship programme run by PSA?

Unlike the student programme we co-run with the careers team at GHS secondary section which is tailored for school-age Hopers, this mentoring programme is strictly for PSA members who are already in the workforce for at least 2 years.
Who is eligible to apply as a mentee?

You must be a Good Hoper with at least 2 years of working experience.

There is no upper limit to your years of working experience.
Who is eligible to apply as a mentor?

You must be a Good Hoper with at least 10 years of working experience.
How do we do the matching?

The mentee will be matched with a mentor that is at least 8 years older than her.

The mentee will be matched with a mentor from an industry of mentee’s choice.
How long is this programme?
-
This year-long programme will run between 1 December 2019 to 30 November 2020.

Please save the date for our inaugural event in the afternoon on 7 December 2019 (SAT).
What are the expectations for the participants?

To make an effort to engage with your mentor/mentee respectfully.

To attend the inaugural event, and to participate in other sessions as much as you can.

A minimal charge may apply when attending any events or career sessions to cover the venue rental. We will keep the cost as reasonable as we can.
